Mundwiler & Larson Funeral Homes announces the death of 68-year-old, Nancy T. (Schulz) Wierda, of Lee’s Summit, MO, and formerly of Milbank, SD.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Milbank, SD. A time of fellowship and luncheon will follow the service at the Milbank Community Center.

Left to cherish Nancy’s memory are her children: Eric (Loana) Wierda of Kissimmee, FL; Arielle (Kiever) Dyess of Raytown, MO; and Luke Wierda of Overland Park, KS; three grandchildren: Cyrena (Dominic) St. Germaine of Kissimmee, FL; Savannah Wierda of Cody, WY; and Kanaan Dyess of Raytown, MO; two great-grandchildren: Hailey St. Germaine, and Amelia St. Germaine; brothers: Tim (Lois) Schulz of Green Valley, AZ; and James (Linda) Schulz of Independence, MO; sister, Karen Amodei of Independence, MO; along with several nieces and nephews.  Mundwiler & Larson Funeral Homes announces the death of 68-year-old, Nancy T. Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 91-year-old Orville Vreim of Wilmot, SD.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wilmot Lutheran Church in Wilmot. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Wilmot Lutheran Cemetery.

Orville Vreim is survived by his children: Richard (Laura) Croymans of Winnetka, CA; Cynthia (Percy Jr.) Chamley of Wilmot, SD; Marilyn (Jim) Pierce of Wilmot, SD; and Michelle (Wayne) Lacher of Urbandale, IA; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Alpha Behrns of Peever, SD; sisters-in-law: Verdean Vreim of Milbank, SD; and Carol Vreim of Oregon.  Mundwiler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for 91-year-old Orville Vreim of Wilmot, SD.

 

 

The Mundwiler & Larson Funeral Home announces the death of Eleanor Pavin, age 82, of Ortonville, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Ortonville Area Health Services Hospital.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Ortonville, MN. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church and will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Monday. Fr. Shawn Polman will celebrate the Mass, and inurnment will be at Valley View Cemetery in Browns Valley, MN.

Left to cherish Eleanor’s memory are her brother-in-law, Pat Minahan; numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.

 

 

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 99-year-old, Clarice Kranz, of Milbank, SD, who passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, SD, with a prayer vigil and Rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Tuesday. Fr. John Helmueller will celebrate the Mass, and interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rosen, MN.

Left to cherish Clarice’s memory are her children: Carolyn (Michael) Brown of Minneapolis, MN; Celeste Gatz of Hayward, WI; and Sun Lakes, AZ; Charles (Peggy) Kranz of Milbank, SD; Clinton (Lynn) Kranz of Wellington, Co; and Curtice Kranz of Dawson, MN; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 son-in-law, 1  brother-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law; along with many nieces and nephews.

 

 

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 68-year-old Robert Athey of Big Stone City.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Big Stone Tabor Methodist Church in Big Stone City. Visitation will be held at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A prayer service and time of sharing will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the service.

Robert Athey is survived by his wife, Marcia “Marcy” Athey; two sons: Dustin and Ryan (and his fiancé Nicole Gustafson); brother, Dale (Pamela) Athey; and sister, Teresa Athey.  Mundwiler Funeral Home of Milbank is in charge of the arrangements for 68-year-old Robert Athey of Big Stone City.
