Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 97-year-old, Lois Helm, of Milbank, SD, who passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Living Word Lutheran Church in Milbank. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Pastor Melanie Reiners will officiate, and interment will be at Milbank City Cemetery.
She is survived by her children: Brad Helm of Brandon, SD; Cyndi Shaeffer of Saline, MI; and Kyle (Lori) Helm of Cleveland, ND; several grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; along with many, many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Ann Kannegiesser of Hancock, Minnesota passed away on Sunday, November 16th at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, on Monday November 24, 2025, at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Hancock, Minnesota, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, the Memorial Service, followed by the Memorial Service at 11:00 am. Burial will be at a later date at Immaunel Lutheran Church Cemetery-Shible Township-Swift County, Minnesota. Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter, Sonia (Mike) Kannegiesser-Boser, son Erick Kannegiesser, both of Hancock and son Ted (Kristy) Kannegiesser of Clontarf. 8 grandchildren – Jessica (Kody) Pullis, Corey Ascheman, Jacob (Kaylee) Ascheman, Noah Kannegiesser, Jenna Kannegiesser, Kara Kannegiesser, Ty Kannegiesser, and Ava Kannegiesser. 4 great grandchildren – Waylon and Lyla Pullis and Bodie and Dawson Ascheman; several nephews and nieces.

A celebration of life will be held at Tabor Lutheran Church in Strandburg, SD, on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Vicar Emilia Enquist will officiate. A time of fellowship and coffee will follow the service at the church. Private inurnment will be held. Beverly is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Devoe of Strandburg, SD; daughter, Erica (Scott) Kittelson of Good Thunder, MN; daughter, Ellen (Joe) Woodward of Poynette, WI; and grandsons: Ethan Kittelson (special friend, Amanda Hoff) of Mankato, MN; and Sawyer and Gage Woodward of Poynette, WI. She is further survived by her sisters: Mary (Charles) Sorum of West Fargo, ND; Kathryn Grafsgaard (Stephen Cowdery) of Anoka, MN; Carol (Gary) Feir of Lake Park, MN; Lynne (Thomas) Joyce of West Fargo, ND; and one brother, James (Brenda) Grafsgaard of Columbia Heights, MN; as well as 16 nieces and nephews.
