Jean Elizabeth Banken passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta, Minnesota at the age of 82 years. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2026, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Appleton, Minnesota followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Appleton City Cemetery. Zniewski Funeral Home Vaala Chapel of Appleton is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home announces the death of 86-year-old, Wayne “Longhorn” Peterson, of Ortonville, MN, who passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Chapel in Ortonville. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Pastor Dave Tonn will officiate, and inurnment will be at Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
