Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 94-year-old Arlene Larson of Summit, SD.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Summit. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Monday one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Lebanon Lutheran Cemetery, rural Summit.

Arlene Larson is survived by three children: Donna (Harlan) Olson of Ortley, SD; Sandra (Charles) Gaikowski of Waubay, SD; and Michael (Sherrie) Larson of Summit, SD; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnn Boelkes of Clark, SD.

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 81-year-old Jim Gesswein of Milbank, SD. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Milbank. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Mundwiler Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Milbank.

Jim Gesswein is survived by his wife, Sue of Milbank, SD; sons: Kevin (Kelly) Heilman of Tucson, AZ; Tim Heilman of Watertown, SD; and James “Jimmy” Gesswein of Milbank, SD; brothers: Art Gesswein of Shakopee, MN; and John (Judy) Gesswein of Milbank, SD; as well as step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 76-year-old, Mary Morton, of Milbank, SD, who passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her home in Milbank.  Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. Mary’s grandson, Nick Morton, will officiate the service and inurnment will be at Milbank City Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday, beginning at noon.  Burial will be in the Milbank City Cemetery.

Jeanette Haliburton is survived by sons: Denny (Cindy) of Aberdeen, SD; Garry (Judy) of Harrisburg, SD; Tim (Kim) of Seoul, Korea; Richard (Renee) of Cottage Grove, MN; and Robert (Teresa) of Cottage Grove, MN; daughter-in-law, Dori Haliburton of Watertown, SD; brother, Jerry (Sharon) Moldenhauer of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Laverna Moldenhauer of Milbank, SD; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 74-year-old Stanley Keith of Pierz, MN.  Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at the Milbank City Cemetery in Milbank, SD.

Stanley Keith is survived by his two sons: Joshua (Emily) Keith of Sartell, MN; and Shawn Folk of South Dakota; two grandsons; two sisters: Sharon Remund of Sioux Falls, SD; and Brenda (Kirk) Neuman of Fairbault, MN; two brothers: Michael (Julie) Keith of Milbank, SD; and Dennis Schnaser of Big Stone City, SD.  Mundwiler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for 74-year-old Stanley Keith of Pierz, MN.

 

 

Mundwiler Funeral Homes announces the death of 100-year-old, Aaron Knaus of Milbank, SD.  A joint memorial service will be held to honor and celebrate the lives of Aaron and Arlene Knaus. Arlene passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Services will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, SD. Rev. Dr. DeVern Schwenn will officiate. Following the service, inurnment will take place at Milbank City Cemetery.

He is survived by three sons: Delaine (Jackie) of Brookings, SD; Stanley Knaus of Solomon, KS; Darwin Knaus of Twin Brooks, SD; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
