Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 91-year-old, Richard “Dick” Berens, of Milbank, SD, who passed away on February 27, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank with a time of sharing and Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Wednesday. Fr. Tom Hartman will celebrate the Mass and interment will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Jean Elizabeth Banken passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta, Minnesota at the age of 82 years. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 7, 2026, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Appleton, Minnesota followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Appleton City Cemetery. Zniewski Funeral Home Vaala Chapel of Appleton is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Chapel in Ortonville. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler and Larson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Pastor Dave Tonn will officiate, and inurnment will be at Holden Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
