The Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 90 year old Audrey Trump of Milbank, SD, formerly of Ortonville, MN.  A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, at the United Congregational Church of Christ beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lynn Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before at the church. Interment will follow at the Mound Cemetery in Ortonville.

Audrey is survived by daughter, Barb (Dan) Turek of Montgomery, MN; son, Jim (Patty) of Johnstown, CO; and daughter, Brenda (Mark) Hoffman of Rosen, MN; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Chuck Nelson; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Art and Marlys Frounfelter.

 

 

 

Mundwiler & Larson Funeral Homes announces the death of 14-year-old, Alexis Panama of Ortonville, MN.   Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Ortonville High School Gymnasium in Ortonville, MN. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, SD, and will be followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the Ortonville Gymnasium on Monday. The service will be livestreamed and recorded and will be viewable at www.mundwilerfuneralhome.net.

He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his parents: Jose Antonio Panama and Liliana Temaxte of Ortonville, MN; brother, Sibrain Panama of Ortonville, MN; and his beloved family in Ortonville, MN and Mexico.

Mundwiler Funeral Home announces the death of 86-year-old, Charles Bruce Overby of Milbank, SD.  Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. DeVern Schwenn will officiate. Private burial will be at Hope Lutheran Cemetery in Summit, SD.

He is survived by his daughters: Jillene Overby of Shawnee, OK, Cori Beth Overby of South Haven, MN; sister, Jeannette Howell; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

On Friday, April 4, 2025, Sophia Leah McTighe lost her battle to cancer at the age of 11 and passed away peacefully at her home in Correll, Minnesota. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Word Fellowship Church in Appleton, Minnesota. Visitation will continue Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Zniewski Funeral Home-Vaala Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Wilmot Lutheran Church followed by a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Ann is survived by her children: Patricia “Pat” (Larry) O’Farrell of Marvin, SD; Wayne (Faith) Sandbakken of Wilmot, SD; Robert (Janet) Sandbakken of Wilmot, SD; Steven Sandbakken of Seattle, WA; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; former son-in-law, Jeff Nielsen of Big Stone City, SD; sister-in-law, Lois La Ross of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews; and many Walt Johnson family members.

Mary Warrey, age 71, of Milbank, SD, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Milbank Area Hospital – Avera Health.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Central Church in Milbank, SD. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Pastor Thom Bowsher and Pastor Melanie Reiners will officiate the service and interment will be at Milbank City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Wade is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie; children: Travis (Becky) Swezey of Twin Brooks, SD; Heath (Joanie) Swezey of Castlewood, SD; Amanda Swezey of Ortonville, MN; and Lance Swezey of Watertown, SD; four grandkids: Cody Swezey of Albuquerque, NM; Averi Swezey of Twin Brooks, SD; Levi Gabrielson of Ortonville, MN; and Molli Gabrielson of Ortonville, MN; sisters: Sharon (Jim) Howe of Miles City, MT; and Roxanne Swezey of Bloomington, MN; sisters-in-law: Sharon Wieber of Milbank, SD; Pat Bengtson of Isanti, MN; Cindy (Rod) Bublitz of Watertown, SD; and Tami (Jeff) Deering of Sioux Falls, SD; brothers-in-law: Warren (Janice) Bengtson of Coon Rapids, MN; and Paul (Diane) Bengtson of Washburn, ND; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

 

 

A Celebration of Life Service for Colleen A. Backstrand will be held Saturday, May 3rd, 11AM, at Big Stone Tabor Church, Big Stone City, SD. Following the service there will be a fellowship lunch at the Old American Bike Barn, 547 County Hwy 12, Ortonville. Memorials may be directed to Big Stone Tabor Church or CentraCare Hospice. Inurnment will be in the Ortonville Cemetery.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Milbank, SD. Fr. Brian Eckrich will officiate. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A prayer vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the Mass. Inurnment will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothea McGuire Moga, sisters-in-law, Rose White McGuire and Barbara Jane “BJ” Revane McGuire, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
