The American Red Cross will be holding a couple of area blood drives during the coming week.

The first blood drive event will be held on Tuesday, July 11th from noon until 6 p.m. at Milbank High School. The second will take place on Wednesday, July 12th from noon until 6 at the Big Stone City Community Center.

Sue Theesinga, communications manager for the North Central Blood Services Region in St. Paul Minnesota, which covers all of Minnesota, as well as western Wisconsin and eastern South Dakota says this time of year, especially, is when new blood supplies are needed.
